Eleven Eleven is a modern geometric sans serif by Blanc Salváge, built for fashion branding, editorial layouts and minimal logos. Its shapes mix squared and rounded curves, and the diacritic marks are drawn with the same care as the base letters. The name comes from the angel number 1111: the designer says the repeating digits kept turning up while the font was being drawn.

Is Eleven Eleven free?

No. Eleven Eleven is a commercial font and has no free or demo version. If you searched for “eleven eleven font free” and found free downloads, they are most likely different fonts with similar names. DaFont alone lists several:

FontDesignerLicence
Eleven Eleven (this page)Blanc SalvágeCommercial, paid

ElevenRodrigo ArayaFree for personal use only
Lucas ElevenLucas Everett100% free on DaFont

None of these is a free edition of Eleven Eleven. They are separate typefaces that happen to share part of its name. If a site offers “Eleven Eleven” as a free file without naming Blanc Salváge or linking to a licence, don’t use it in commercial work.

3 weights or 7? Two versions on sale

Two different packages are sold under the Eleven Eleven name, so it is worth knowing which one you are buying:

  • Creative Market listing: 3 weights (Light, Medium and Bold), each with uppercase and lowercase, numbers, punctuation and foreign-language support. It comes as OTF and TTF files. The desktop licence was $39 at the time of writing.
  • Blanc Salváge’s own shop: an expanded family of 7 weights (Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Semi Bold, Bold and Extra Bold) with 333 glyphs and extended language support. It has separate licence tiers for desktop, web (priced by monthly pageviews), e-pub, app and server use, starting from $22.

If you only need a logo and a few headlines, the three core weights are enough. For a full brand system or a website, where you need a light weight for captions and a heavier one for buttons, the 7-weight family is the better fit.

Licence: what the desktop licence covers

The desktop licence covers installing the font on your computer and using it in logos, branding, static images, printed material and packaging. Embedding the font in a website, an ebook or an app needs a separate licence. Creative Market sells webfont, e-pub and app licences, and the designer’s shop splits web use into tiers by monthly pageviews. Pick the licence for where the font will actually be used, not only for where you design with it.

Using Eleven Eleven in Canva

Canva’s built-in font library changes over time, so check first: open a design, click the font dropdown and type “eleven eleven”. If it is not listed, you can upload it yourself. Uploading fonts needs a Canva Pro, Enterprise, Education or Nonprofit plan; the free plan doesn’t allow it. Go to Brand Kit → Fonts → Upload a font. Canva accepts OTF, TTF and WOFF, so the files from either package will work. If the upload is rejected, the usual cause is that the font file is not flagged as licensed for embedding. That setting is inside the file itself and can’t be changed from Canva.

Where Eleven Eleven works well

Geometric sans serifs look best with plenty of room. Eleven Eleven suits wordmarks, fashion and beauty packaging, magazine headlines and social templates, especially in uppercase with wide letter-spacing. The Light weight gives a quiet, premium feel at large sizes, and Bold works for short, punchy headlines. For long body text, pair it with a serif or a more neutral text sans. Leave Eleven Eleven for headings and brand elements, where its squared-and-round details are big enough to see.
