Gliker is a rounded display family by Sundance Tipografia, drawn in 2019 and released in June 2020. It takes its cue from the Hobo typefaces of the early twentieth century — every corner is rounded off, which is what gives Gliker its bouncy, slightly retro feel without tipping into pastiche. What makes it unusual for a display face is the range: it ships as a full 28-style system, so you can set a poster headline and a tight vertical label in the same voice.

All 28 Gliker styles: 4 weights × 7 widths

Most people arriving here are looking for one specific cut — Gliker Regular, Gliker Black or one of the condensed widths. Every weight is available in every width, so the full grid looks like this:

WidthRegularSemi BoldBoldBlack
Extra Condensed
Condensed
Semi Condensed
Normal
Semi Expanded
Expanded
Extra Expanded
4 weights across 7 widths — 28 individual style files in total.

The practical consequence is that Gliker Black Extra Condensed and Gliker Regular Expanded are separate files in the same download, not something you fake with software stretching. If you have seen a Gliker headline that looked impossibly tall and narrow, it was Extra Condensed doing the work.

Licence, price and what is in the download

Gliker is a commercial typeface, not a free font. It is sold on Creative Market, where the desktop licence is listed at $35 at the time of writing — the shop runs a standing promotion on this family, so the figure you see may be lower. The download unzips to OTF or TTF files, around 4 MB in total.

Language coverage is wide for a display face: the family supports 75+ Latin (Extended) languages, which covers Western and Central European sets rather than just basic English. If you need Cyrillic or Greek, this is not the family for you.

Where Gliker works

Rounded, high-contrast-in-width families like this earn their keep on packaging, event posters, streetwear graphics and any brand that wants to read as friendly rather than corporate. The condensed cuts stack well in narrow columns — think drink cans and book spines — while the expanded cuts fill a wide banner without needing to be set enormous. It is a poor choice for body text at small sizes; the rounded corners blur together below roughly 14px.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Gliker font free to download?

No. Gliker is a commercial release from Sundance Tipografia and there is no free version of the family. A desktop licence is listed at $35 on Creative Market at the time of writing, though the shop frequently discounts it.

What weights and widths does Gliker come in?

Four weights — Regular, Semi Bold, Bold and Black — each drawn across seven widths: Extra Condensed, Condensed, Semi Condensed, Normal, Semi Expanded, Expanded and Extra Expanded. That is 28 separate style files, all included in the one purchase.

Can I use Gliker for commercial work?

Yes, within the terms of the licence tier you buy. The desktop licence covers print and static design work; if you need to embed the font on a website, in an ebook or inside an app, Creative Market sells webfont, e-pub and app licences separately.
